Pearly Mak joined the Chamber as Accounting Manager in May 2005 and was promoted to Director of Finance and Administration in December 2007. Pearly has more than 15 years' experience in the field of accounting and finance, with extensive exposure to special assignments when she worked in KPMG and Warner-Lambert. She also has accounting and administration experience for three years in a not-for-profit organisation, the Hong Kong Institute of Company Secretaries, and entrepreneurial experience for two years before joining the Chamber. Pearly has a Bachelor in Business Administration - Accounting from Hong Kong Baptist University and is a CPA of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Mike Tsang

Michael Tsang is responsible for membership recruitment, retention, and quality of follow-up services to AmCham members.

Michael has a BS in Hotel, Restaurant, and Travel Management from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. After graduating, Michael started his career with Hyatt International as a corporate management trainee and worked at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong. Prior joining AmCham, Michael worked in one of Hong Kong's top retail chains and has extensive experience in customer service management, staff training & development, and overseas project management. Michael has nearly 15 years of hospitality, FMCG and retail operation experience, and he is trilingual – English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

Queenie Li

Queenie Li was promoted to the position of Member Relations Manager in March 2008. She joined AmCham as Membership/Accounting Assistant in 1980, and was promoted to Membership Coordinator in 1986 in support of the Membership Committee. She was promoted to Membership Supervisor in 1988 and has served as Assistant Membership Manager from 2005. She handles all inquiries regarding membership matters, processes applications and produces reports on members activities.

Michael Young recruits potential members while liaising with current AmCham members. He is responsible for member services, retention, and building our membership base through scouting, marketing and closing. Michael is also responsible for providing support for marketing programs and initiatives. Michael has a BBA with concentrations in Marketing and Consulting from Goizueta Business School, Emory University.

Joining AmCham in December 2014, Godfrey Chan serves as Digital Marketing Manager providing essential support for the Chamber’s digital and ICT infrastructure. He focuses on digital marketing implementation, strategy, and communications operations; handling all website, social media, database, media and promotions.

Leading AmCham’s initiatives onto new platforms, Godfrey is also the key contact point for members to connect and share, ensuring our mission and members’ voices expand to new audiences worldwide.

Sonia Li has served as an Events Manager since 2005. She works on planning, organization, and coordination of business meetings and functions, as well as other special programs such as golf activities, events publicity, on-site registration and financial accounting. She has previously worked as AmCham’s Programs Coordinator and was promoted to Programs Supervisor in 1989. She had years of accounting and administration experience in a French company prior to joining AmCham.

Mimi Shih has been an Events Manager since 2005. During her 20-plus years at the AmCham, Mimi has been promoted from a secretarial to a supervisory position and has worked in the programs, conferences and seminars departments, as well as on the annual ball. She is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the Chamber’s speaker programs, conferences and seminars, including training workshops and executive education programs. Prior to joining AmCham, she worked at Bank of America, First National Bank of Boston and the Saskatchewan Medical Care Insurance Commission in Canada. Mimi was educated in Hong Kong and at the Saskatchewan Technical Institute.

GOVERNMENT RELATIONS AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS

Agnes Tsang
Director, Government Relations & Public Affairs

Agnes Tsang is the Director of Government Relations and Public Affairs for the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. In this position, she covers trade policy and regulatory issues affecting the Chamber’s members in Hong Kong and in the greater China region. Acting as the Chamber’s liaison to the U.S., China and Hong Kong government agencies as well as other trade organizations, Agnes engages in lobbying efforts by supporting the strategic groups and committees in making submissions and facilitating briefings. She is also the key contact for the Chamber’s media relations, and supports the Board of Governors and the Board of Trustees of the Chamber’s Charitable Foundation.

Agnes has over 10 years of experience in journalism, Legislative Council (LegCo) affairs, policy research and advocacy during her tenure at the Central Policy Unit of the HKSAR Government, the LegCo, English news corporations and an international environmental NGO. She is also specialized in business investigative research and analysis after spending 6 years in the private sector.

Agnes holds a Bachelor of Social Science majoring in Government and Public Administration from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Master of Education from the University of Hong Kong.  

Queenie Tsui

Queenie joined the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong as the Assistant Manager of Government Relations and Public Affairs in November 2013. In this role, she supports the Director of Government Relations and Public Affairs in government lobbying by managing and supporting strategic group and committee advocacy activities, conducting research, drafting and editing advocacy documents. She coordinates briefings with delegations from the US Executive Branch and the Congress, as well as business and university briefings. She liaises with both international and local media organizations in managing the logistics for press conferences and Q&A sessions.


Queenie holds a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor of Arts with major in English Language and Literature from the Hong Kong Baptist University. She spent a year in Vancouver where she had an in-depth study in Renaissance and Medieval Literature. In law school, she submitted a dissertation on international cultural heritage law, specifically the restitution of ‘stolen arts’ by museums. Prior to joining the Chamber, she had worked in international and local law firms, and an international auction house.


She speaks English, Cantonese, Mandarin Chinese, German and French.

Dannio Chan

As the Government Relations Executive, Dannio is responsible for supporting the team in executing AmCham's GR Strategy and Public Affairs activities. Working closely with the Charitable Foundation Secretary, he also plays a supporting role in organizing Charitable Foundation programs such as Prize Book Award. He is a graduate in Journalism and holds a MBA from the University of Leicester.

CHINA AFFAIRS

William Lin
Director, China Affairs

William Lin is the Director of China Affairs at the Chamber. He is responsible for the planning and implementation of the Chamber’s China Agenda led by the Board and China Affairs Group. Coordinated with the Chamber departments and Committees, his team works closely with government departments and business communities in both Mainland China and Hong Kong to advocate the interest of the Chamber and to identify China related business opportunities for members. 

Prior joining AmCham, William worked for CCPIT (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade) HK & Macau Office as the deputy representative from May 2008 to May 2010, and before that he served in different departments at Beijing and Shanghai with China International Exhibition Center Corporation Group, a subsidiary company of CCPIT and one of the biggest exhibition companies in China. 

William holds a BA degree in management from Central University of Finance & Economics in Beijing. He speaks fluent Mandarin, Cantonese, English and South Fujian Dialect.
