AmCham maintains regular contacts with HKSAR Government at the highest echelons, including the Chief Executive, the Chief Secretary for Administration and other Secretaries on strategic directions concerning Hong Kong’s competitiveness and the status as an international business city. AmCham also engages dialogue with members from the Executive Council, Legislative Council, as well as political leaders on topics that are relevant to the AmCham’s focuses and advocacy.

AmCham works closely as a partner of the United States Consulate – Hong Kong & Macau on a variety of issues concerning the regional economy and the American business community, ranging from trade, education, smart city to LGBT inclusivity, to promote trade and investment activities between Hong Kong, China and the US.
AmCham also receives frequent US Administration and Congressional visits, including some 20-30 high-level delegations of visiting members and staffers per year, as a way to promote dialogue and further understanding; and provides briefing to visiting universities from the United States.
