2015 has been an exciting year for foreign direct investment (FDI). For the third straight year, the United States received the highest rating in FDI attractiveness from global business executives surveyed by A.T. Kearney. In fact, the survey revealed that Asia-headquartered companies are particularly optimistic about the resurgent US economy.
In March, President Barack Obama hosted the 2015 SelectUSA Investment Summit, highlighting the tremendously diverse investment opportunities available across the country. We welcomed a full house of 2,600 participants to Washington, and the largest delegation traveled from China, led by Ambassador Max Baucus. Representatives from all 50 states joined President Obama and six members of his Cabinet to make it clear that the United States warmly welcomes foreign investment.
