Jenny is the Vice President of Legal Affairs for Universal Pictures. In her role, she oversees the provision of all legal services for Universal’s businesses in both the People’s Republic of China and Hong Kong, which include theatrical distribution, local film productions, consumer products and games and digital platform development.
Prior to joining Universal, Jenny spent 5 years as Executive Director at WarnerMedia’s (formerly known as Time Warner) Public Policy Asia Pacific team, having joined in 2013. Her office worked closely with the operating divisions and brands (Warner Bros., Turner Broadcasting and HBO) to advance business and public policy objectives to position the company for growth in the media and entertainment industry.
Prior to WarnerMedia, Jenny had an extensive legal career that spans over 15 years. She worked in Shanghai for almost two years at the Goodyear Tire Management Company (Shanghai) Ltd., as its Asia Pacific Regional Counsel, advising on all legal matters affecting the manufacturing business including compliance, M&A, procurement, supply chain, employment and sales and marketing. And prior to Goodyear, Jenny spent over a decade at The Walt Disney Company (Asia Pacific) Limited in Hong Kong as its Asia Pacific Regional Counsel where she provided comprehensive legal and strategic advice to the television, film and home entertainment businesses throughout Asia Pacific.
Jenny started serving as Vice Chair of the IP Committee at AmCham in 2013 and became Co-Chair in 2014.
Jenny received her Bachelor of Laws degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in Canada and is admitted to the Law Society of Upper Canada.
