Ling Jin is a Director at Control Risks, a global specialist risk consultancy that helps organizations manage risks, seize new opportunities, and resolve complex issues. Ling leads business development for the Chinese business community in Hong Kong, Macau and Southern China. She is the Vice-chair of China Business Committee of American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong.
Ling actively works with industry associations, Chinese and international chambers of commerce in the region and Chinese companies to build risk awareness and risk management capability.
With many years’ experience of advising senior executives of multinational companies and organizations across many industries, Ling is a specialist in strategy development, government affairs, partnership building, crisis management and spokesperson training. Drawing upon her time leading the company’s Government Affairs Consulting practice in Greater China and North Asia, she also manages key relationships with government agencies, industry associations and think tanks. Her deep understanding of the political landscape and industry challenges in China has been an asset to many clients as they successfully navigate challenging situations with local and national government entities and regulators.
Prior to joining Control Risks, Ling ran the Hong Kong office for APCO Worldwide, a US government affairs and strategic communications consultancy, following on from a few years in its Beijing office. She also led the international trade and investment promotion effort for the State of Missouri USA in Greater China, and worked for JL McGregor & Company, the Washington Post’s Beijing bureau and China Central Television (CCTV).
