Ian S.P. Chung is the Chief Executive of Greater China at AECOM (NYSE: ACM), a Fortune 500, fully integrated infrastructure firm who designs, builds, finances, and operates in over 150 countries. AECOM has a global network of 85,000 experts and is the largest engineering consulting firm in Hong Kong. With roots dating back to the mid-20th century, AECOM has significantly contributed to Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area’s transportation and infrastructure development, as well as to the economic and urban development in the area.
Mr. Chung leads the AECOM Greater China’s business, which has over 6,700 employees across Hong Kong, Mainland China and Taiwan. Serving as a chartered civil engineer for more than 25 years, Mr. Chung has led teams to build multi-disciplinary, large scale transportation, civil and infrastructure projects for the Hong Kong infrastructure and environmental industry; his recent projects include the Hong Kong International Airport Three-runway System and Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge.
Mr. Chung is dedicated in driving the consultant engineer profession and serving on multiple professional organizations. He is the past Chairman of The Association of Consulting Engineers of Hong Kong (2015-2016), immediate past Chairman of the Civil Division of The Hong Kong Institute of Engineers (2017-2018), and currently serves as President of Hong Kong Institution of Highways and Transportation.
