The Schwarzman Scholars program is the brainchild of Asia Society Trustee and Chairman, CEO & Co-Founder of Blackstone Stephen A. Schwarzman. The program provides a unique opportunity for potential young leaders to participate in a fully funded one-year Master's Degree program at Tsinghua University in Beijing, including travel costs and a modest personal stipend. At this time the application process for the third cohort of Schwarzman Scholars is open, and we believe potential candidates would benefit greatly from this unique opportunity and generous scholarship.
This unique program is supported through many generous contributions to Schwarzman Scholars and the program is working to reach a $500 million fundraising goal, a sum that will sustain the program in perpetuity. This unparalleled opportunity will be extended to 140 students, up from 110 in its first year, with 45% of scholars coming from the United States, 20% from China, and 35% from the rest of the world. The program is open to students and young professionals between the ages of 18 and 28 years old, regardless of nationality, who are proficient in English and have obtained an undergraduate degree or its equivalent from an accredited college or university.
