AmCham and Facebook Offer Free Hands-On Advice to Business to Cope with Challenging Times

March 23, 2020 – HONG KONG – The American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (AmCham) and Facebook will co-launch the first Facebook LIVE sessions in guiding big and small businesses through the hard times of coronavirus. The four weekly sessions, running from late March to April, will cover topics from e-commerce, SMEs going global, smart retail, to branding.

“Supporting SMEs and start-ups is a key priority of AmCham this year, and there is not a time more urgent than now to roll out initiatives to help businesses survive when global markets and supply chains are being seriously impacted by the coronavirus,” said AmCham Chairman Robert Grieves.

The LIVE series will feature speakers from MNCs, SMEs and start-ups to share best practices, success stories, and real-life cases of how businesses navigate through practical difficulties and turn crises into opportunities. Facebook will also share their observations in supporting entrepreneurship.

“We are honored to partner with AmCham to launch the Facebook LIVE series in supporting local businesses through trainings, business insights and best practices. This is an unprecedented challenge for many of us and the broader Hong Kong communities, and we are committed to supporting local businesses during this extremely difficult time,” said Jayne Leung, Vice President and Head of Greater China at Facebook.

The four online sessions will be followed by an offline finale with a leading Hong Kong company CEO, with details to come later. Media representatives and all are welcome to sign up for the sessions below.
