Dr. Kurt Campbell, Former U.S. Deputy Secretary of State, will Speak at the 2025 AmCham Annual China Conference on April 24 in Hong Kong

HONG KONG – February 28, 2025 – The American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (AmCham HK) is pleased to announce that Dr. Kurt Campbell, who served as Deputy Secretary of State in the Biden administration, will be the Distinguished Keynote Speaker for AmCham’s annual China Conference, to be held on April 24, 2025 in Hong Kong.

Dr. Campbell has played a key role in shaping global geopolitics for several U.S. administrations and is known for his deep understanding of Asian affairs.  He also is recognized as one of the foremost authorities at the intersection of geopolitics and business.  This upcoming trip marks his first visit to Asia since leaving office.

Dr. Campbell is now Chairman at The Asia Group (TAG), a Washington-based strategic advisory firm (www.theasiagroup.com) assisting the world’s leading companies, which he co-founded in 2013.  The Asia Group’s Hong Kong office, launched by TAG Managing Partner Kurt Tong (the former U.S. Consul General in Hong Kong), is headed by TAG Managing Director George Chen, who also sits on the board of AmCham HK.

This year’s AmCham China Conference will take place in the afternoon of April 24 at the HKEX Connect Hall.  This timely event will explore the evolving landscape of business interactions between the United States and China, in light of recent significant geopolitical changes. The conference aims to equip businesses with the insights and strategies necessary to navigate the complexities of the U.S.-China relationship and capitalize on emerging opportunities within the China market.
