High-achieving Female Business & Thought Leaders Acclaimed at AmCham’s 17th Women of Influence Awards

Hong Kong – November 13, 2020 – Seven impressive women, a business leader and an exceptional company were honored “Women of Influence” (WOI) Awards (「最具影響力女性」獎項) in recognition of their career accomplishments and their support for the empowerment of women at the 17th Women of Influence Conference & Awards (第十七屆「最具影響力女性」論壇暨頒獎禮) held on November 13. The conference theme was “Global Issues, Local [S]Heroes: Women Taking the Lead”.

Organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (AmCham), the WOI conference is one of the most established women’s symposiums in the Asia Pacific region. This year’s theme focused on women working in fields who are making a difference in our interconnected world drawing inspiring examples of leadership from our ranks in Hong Kong and internationally. The awards confer accolades on individuals and organizations who have made exceptional achievements and a steadfast commitment to supporting female leadership in business.

This year’s conference was held in a virtual format, with AmCham converting its boardroom into a makeshift video studio to allow for a less crowded flow of speakers and award winners to take part in the conference. The Chamber also held small viewing parties at companies across the city, in order to broaden the reach of the conference while simultaneously observing social distancing rules.
